Overview
Brennan Meagan Olver, a multi-disciplinary artist from Melbourne, is Wet Kiss.
Olver is bringing the upbeat, experimental pop solo act to New Zealand for three North Island shows, playing Golden Dawn on Wednesday 8 November.
Olver has been producing work out of Melbourne over the last decade, and recently concluded a tour of USA's East Coast. Wet Kiss is very '70s-inspired, and this comes through in the use of textural collaging of samples (we're pretty sure we hear early Bjork in the latest single, Europa) within the work. Feedback and disjointed pop sentiment feeds through Olver's work. There are also some pretty heavy Bowie-esque moments in there. One to watch.
