Overview

Delve into what it means to be male in a Tempo Dance Festival's WhY Chromozone.

Featuring new works by the Royal New Zealand Ballet's Loughlan Prior, gold medal hip hop champs IDCO and South Auckland performance collective COVEN, the piece explores the ideas of masculinity and what that looks like, showcasing the vivid spectrum of masculinity in all its forms — from traditional to more experimental. Not only does it question our perceptions of male identity but also challenges our concept of gender as a whole, exploring expressions of masculinity and celebrating how we see ourselves in society.

The powerful performance is raw, sensual and slightly cheeky and will leave you wanting more, so make sure you join in the celebration.
