Drinking goes hand in hand with eating, and living, so its appropriate that there’s a full blown event dedicated to wine during this year’s Restaurant Month.

Wine Akl, the wine connoisseurs ultimate day out, returns to Shed 10 this August with over 80 top New Zealand wineries on board for tasting. If you can’t tell the difference between a French barrique-aged red and an expired box of cooking wine, never fear. An esteemed selection of winemakers and international wine experts will be on hand to discuss the finer points of each drop.

The city’s leading restaurateurs and sommeliers will also be on site to give crash courses in food and wine matching, and five-star restaurant Euro will be serving dishes designed specifically to pair with the local wine varietals.

The $25 entry fee also gets you a tasting glass, five wine tastings and a wine guide.
