Fun, unbounded.

Overview

If you haven't made any plans for tonight and you don't have any money then pause that episode of GoT, close that laptop and put on some pants. There is hope for your Friday night yet, and it includes real people and interaction and not spending any money. Hoo rah.

Auckland Zinefest is a local community festival celebrating self-publishing, the DIY spirit, and community arts projects. It's all about zines and creative expression and sharing stories and words and images and feelings. Isn't that nice? Much nicer than all those ruthless dragon murders you're watching, and sort of enjoying, right now.

The opening party starts at 7pm, it's free, and the doors are open to one and all. Poetry readings, music performances and an open mic for if you're feeling adventurous or have had one too many and suddenly feel talented. It'll be fun.
