Britomart Dessert Bar Milse Is Now Serving High Tea
The dessert bar and patisserie is now serving miniature treats through the weekend.
When it comes to decadent dessert in the CBD, Milse takes the cake. The Britomart dessert bar and patisserie serves up first-class gelato sticks, chocolate slabs, macarons, tarts and gateaux, as well as a dine-in dessert-only degustation.
Those looking for an excuse to extend their lunch into the afternoon with miniature treats will be pleased to hear that the Hipgroup-owned eatery now serves high tea every Saturday and Sunday between 12pm and 5pm.
The tiered feasts feature an array of savoury options, including an organic chicken liver pate doughnut, a black garlic macaron, and a blue cheese creme brulee tart. In true Milse form, you'll be well looked after in the sweets department, with matcha and black sesame roulade, hazelnut praline cream choux and a chocolate sable sandwich leading the lineup. And because high tea can't simply function without scones, the kitchen will serving up its own version with lashings of citrus marmalade and creme fraiche.
The high tea is $42 per person and includes a pot of tea. It can be upgraded with a glass of Champagne for $62 per person. Bookings are essential and can be made for groups up to eight.
