Have your say, and your dinner too.

Overview

It's decision time, New Zealand. The polls are now open to determine the government for the next three years. And whether you're a lefty, a righty or somewhere in the middle, it's important that you head along to the polling booth and allot your two ticks for the better of the nation.

While there are several ways to celebrate democracy, Coco's Cantina in partnership with VICE NZ, has come up with a genius voting incentive to please the masses, though perhaps not the gluten intolerant.

Voters who visit the K' Road institution from today until next Friday will be given a bowl of Happy Hour Pasta for absolutely nothing. All you have to do is present a screenshot of your newly enrolled status to one of Coco's waitstaff between 5pm to 6pm and you'll be drowning in the most fresh and delicious spaghetti pomodoro you've ever tasted.

For those who don't mind splashing out to support the local owner-operators, the afterwork meal special is only $13. And it'd be rude not to complete your meal with a side of polenta chips and Prosecco.

It's not too late to enrol and have your say. You can enrol until next Friday 22 September.

Find Coco's Cantina at 374-376 Karangahape Road and find more information on VICE NZ's voting incentives over here
