Overview

Celebrated for its gentler treatment of vitamins, minerals and enzymes - over other methods like blending, blitzing and squeezing - cold-pressed juice is the latest trend to be spun from the boardroom of healthy beverages.

Auckland's Pressed Raw Juice Bar have jumped on the cold-pressed wave, and for three months will be slinging their take on fresh, hydraulic-pressed juice from a pop-up space along Shortland Street. As well as offering pre-made options like the revitalising combination of watermelon, pineapple coconut water, pear and mint, the juicers make custom concoctions by request.

While the pop-up location will be open until Christmas Eve, Pressed are also taking their juice on the road in a partnership with on demand delivery service Urban Sherpa. Those located in the Auckland CBD, and with a severe case of dry mouth, now have the option of being delivered cold-pressed juice to their desk or door within 30 minutes of ordering; umpteen times better than approaching that unidentified liquid in the lunch room fridge.

The best part of the Urban Sherpa delivery is that its free between 9am and 11am and 2pm and 3pm on weekdays. See the Pressed website for more info.
