Overview

Keeping track of your favourite street eats is set to become a whole lot easier thanks to a newly allocated gathering spot for Auckland's food trucks.

The Street Food Collective is the brainchild of travelling pit smokers Miss Moonshine’s, who most recently set up their own permanent establishment inside Ponsonby's Lot 3. Making the most of the adjacent lane way (between Richmond Rd and Mackelvie St) the shared space will give a rotating cast of the city's best food stalls somewhere to park up and serve the masses.

The initiative will be an all day affair, with a select number of vendors onsite for breakfast and lunch as well as dinner. Miss Moonshine’s very own bar on wheels 'Herbie' will be on hand to serve craft beers and their infamous moonshine based cocktails from midday. Themed nights will also be a regular occurrence; the first will run alongside American holiday the Fourth of July, celebrating everything about the star spangled nation.

Vendors in the schedule for the next few weeks include: contemporary Chinese bunnery Judge Bao, health-consious breakfast makers The Vital Bowl, ice cream parlour Sweet Val's Ice Cream, boutique burger designers The Bearded Clam, Korean-Mexican fusion Coreano, po'boy enthusiasts The Roaming Dive, dessert pop up Sweet Cuisine, Brooklyn Dogs, The Lucky Taco, The Pie Piper, Waffle Supreme, Vulcan Lane Bagels, Mahurangi Oysters Ltd and Fort Greene.

The Street Food Collective will operate seven days a week from 7am to 11am, 12pm to 3pm, and 5pm to 10pm.
