Much-Loved Garden Bar BCC Is Closing Permanently

The venue affectionately known as BCC is set to close its doors this June. Originally floated as a pop-up, The Britomart Country Club ended up sticking around on the corner of Galway Street for seven years, finding its feet as the perfect location for extended afternoon sessions with mini golf, cocktails served from a shipping container and the introduction of burger joint Better Burger.

The much-loved garden bar will close for good on Saturday 23 June making way for a new hotel development. The venue won't be saying farewell without a proper sendoff. For three weekends BCC will be hosting its ever-popular two-hour sessions of bottomless pizza and beer, while George FM will present a series of gigs including the Royal Weekender featuring P Money.

The coffers will be cleared with deals running everyday until 23 June — you can expect 50 percent off pizzas, cocktails and beer. BCC will be announcing its full farewell lineup shortly. Stay tuned for further details.
