McDonald's Big Mac Special Sauce has been somewhat of an enigma since its inception in the 1970s. Just look online and you'll be inundated with hundreds of wannabe gastronomy experts claiming to have whittled the recipe into a handful of ingredients. And, while McDonald’s have published all the ingredients on their website and even posted a YouTube tutorial on how to pull it off, the homemade version never really cuts the mustard...

Luckily for you, the iconic condiment has now been set free from the bounds of the golden arches in the form of 200 500ml bottles. But how do you get your hands on such a legend? Well if you live across the McDitch, all you have to do is roll up to one of the 920 McDonald’s stores and ask - they have 600 25ml tubs for sale (50c each), while stocks last. For everyone else, you're going to need a wad of 20,000 big ones floating around in your back pocket.

One singular bottle of the off-yellow-colour-gold is currently up for auction on Ebay. With one week left until gravy day, it's currently sitting at $23,000. While that may seem like an absolutely ludicrous way to spend your lifesavings, all proceeds from the sale are going to the Ronald McDonald House Charities. Loving it.
