Overview

In the early stages of New Zealand's COVID-19 pandemic a group of Wellington hospitality owner-operators came together to offer a collaborative home delivery service. The Pandemic Pack was set to offer direct-to-door delivery to those working at home or in isolation while bypassing big name companies that typically clip a generous portion of the ticket.

With the Government's subsequent Level 4 lockdown and closure of all non-essential services across the country, the idea was unable to launch. Now, in an effort to support the local hospitality community and provide inspiration for home cooks in self-isolation, the collective has teamed up to create a collaborative cookbook.

The Pandemic Pack Collaborative Cookbook is made up of 16 local Wellington businesses. Across 85 pages it features 41 recipes from Wellington favourites like first-class pastry outfit Lashings, fried chicken joint Soul Shack, much-loved Chinese restaurant Taste of Home, all-vegan cafe Sweet Release, boutique manual coffee brew bar Pour & Twist and Leeds Street Bakery.

The digital recipe book has a suggested base price of $10, but you're encouraged to pay what you can. All profits will be split between the contributors.
