Bluebells Cakery, Eden Terrace

Overview

The not so little sister of Hillsborough gem, Bluebells Cakery, has opened its doors in Eden Terrace. This new addition to the Auckland cakery scene has the same pretty and almost whimsical feel of it’s flagship store but with a larger floor space and more central locale just off Newton Road.

The France Street store offers a sunny eastern outlook, with large spacious tables and seemingly never ending cabinetry of delectable treats. While cupcakes are their signature, all beautifully decorated with edible blooms, you cannot forget to mention the equally lovely cakes by the slice, macarons, mini loaves, slices, scones, tarts, sausage rolls and sandwiches. Also what would a slice of cake be without an array of Harney and Sons teas to accompany it with?

To save the agony of having to try just one thing, may it be recommended that the macadamia caramel slice as well as the orange and almond cake are the first things that should be on the to-taste list.

The décor of delicate pastels, petals and pot plants is basked in the sunlight that streams in the front window making Bluebells a picture perfect setting for a quick coffee and cake catch up, or lingering afternoon spent with good friends.

With a cake making kitchen to make all home bakers jealous, France Street is also now the pick up location for all ordered cakes and catering.
