Seamlessly integrating American influences with the essence of Kiwi culture is Dirty Laundry. It would seem, turning the heads of passersby is a wine display that almost spans the restaurant's entirety and a warming aroma which wafts from the open-plan kitchen to kerbside.
Here, it's clear a no-fuss approach has been adopted to their predominately locally sourced menu. Attention should be turned to dishes like the pork schnitzel. Served with house-made redcurrant jelly, coleslaw and fresh lemon cheek to the side, it's sure to subdue most hunger pangs. Also worth noting is the crispy chicken pide. A sip worth experiencing is the Honey Badger. The combination of Armaro Montenegro, honey, a splash of lemon, gin base and a smoking cinnamon stick, holds this concoction in good stead.
