Taiko
Another epic Kingsland restaurant - Taiko is boss.
Overview
Having only just recently moved to Kingsland I am fair stoked with the number of eateries in this hip little burb. You could be forgiven for overlooking Taiko - it is quite literally hidden down off the main road by the train station. Actually you can't be forgiven and with Japanese being the best cuisine in the world it's a no brainer. Taiko is definitely going in my good food book.
You can rock the counter dining by the kitchen or dine as a group, either way just go and wrap those bad boys around some beef tataki (incredible flavours of ginger and spring onion), shrimp tempura and the edamame comes out steaming hot (which is nice for a change). Cold Asahi on tap. Domo arigato!
Taiko is the textbook Japanese restaurant and I fear it might just be sapping my piggy bank over the coming months.
