Overview

Plants get their turn at being kings of the jungle, at this lush loud, plant-based party, featuring some of Melbourne's favourite purveyors of cruelty-free eats. The rollicking, all-vegan shindig will transform the Queen Victoria Market's Shed X into a leafy jungle wonderland on Friday, April 1.

Legendary chef, Smith & Daughters' Shannon Martinez, joins restaurant favourites including Rumi, Rice Paper Scissors, Fancy Hank's and Warung Agus, to dish up an offering of plant-based party fare you won't forget in a hurry. Get excited for the likes of Balinese-style fried tofu, smoked pineapple ceviche, and Smith & Daughters' dreamy apricot galaktoboureko dessert — a syrupy semolina custard wrapped in kataifi pastry.

To match, there'll be an all-vegan booze lineup, starring alongside a zero-alcohol pop-up bar from Dan Murphy's. And of course, a program of live tunes and entertainment promises to keep the good times kicking on till late.

An $80 ticket will get you through the door, and set up with a welcome drink and five vegan dishes. Further drinks and food are available to purchase separately throughout the night, though you'll need to bring your card — this event's cashless.
