Follow up a run along Brighton Beach with a feel-good burn at Love Athletica, as the fast-paced studio opens the doors to its newest flagship-style location this spring. Moving into the bayside suburb with a double-story studio — joining other Melbourne locations in Elsternwick, Hawthorn, Malvern East and Windsor — expect a purpose-built fitness destination. Offering the full complement of Love Athletica's signature class styles, the new location will feature a 15-bed reformer studio and a 29-mat infrared hot mat room. With a mix of 45- and 50-minute classes running seven days a week, including hot functional strength and yoga classes, there are everyday options for both full-body burns and easygoing flow. "Love Athletica's workouts combine purposeful movement and dynamic programming to create sessions that are designed to challenge you, keep you engaged and make training something you genuinely look forward to," says Love Athletica founder Caroline Knipe. Beyond the wide-ranging class types, Love Athletica Brighton will also feature a host of helpful amenities, from spacious shower facilities (with towels provided) and personal lockers to filtered water stations and a vanity bar with GHD hair dryers and straighteners. After every class, all-comers are invited to a post-workout ritual, complete with complimentary hot and iced tea. "Melbourne has been moving with Love Athletica for over eight years, since our first studio opened in Hawthorn East back in 2018," says Knipe. "Pilates is ingrained in Melbourne's lifestyle, so it only makes sense for Love Athletica to enter Brighton, where we're excited to showcase our signature pilates experience," says Knipe. While there are still plenty of details to be revealed, with the studio's opening date and launch celebrations to be announced soon, anticipate luxe finishing touches that set every encounter apart. That means lighting that shifts from soft to neon depending on the space, alongside an overhead spritz system to cool you down after a hot-room session.
