Since opening in June 2026, Saltwood has become an instant success in Uluwatu's Bingin area, with tourists flocking to the venue from the early hours of the morning, right through until the late hours of the night.

One could guess that a creation from Bali hospitality group 8 Degree Projects (Sisterfields, Bossman, Fu House and Estia) was always destined for popularity. Still, Saltwood has an energy independent of the venues that came before it, and one that feels not only uniquely Uluwatu, but the perfect fit for Bingin specifically.

Saltwood Bingin overlooking Dreamland Beach

Open from 6am to late, Saltwood invites visitors from sunrise to sunset — the latter of which is an experience entirely. Whether you head down with a book solo and face out to the Dreamland Beach surfers as they catch their final waves of the day, rally the crew for post-dip beverages in a circle of beanbags, or get a table undercover for a feed and some dog-watching, there's really no other place like this in Bingin right now.

Inside Saltwood Bingin

While Saltwood has been an instant hit, the vibe feels completely unforced and relaxed — never chaotic. It's perched on the hills of Bingin and overlooking Dreamland Beach (you'd never know day club El Kabron was right there), with different pockets of the venue to chill at, all spaced out, so you never feel like you're imposing or eavesdropping on anyone else. Grabbing a coffee or cocktail, like a coconut negroni, feels completely unrushed at Saltwood in the open-air breeze.

Breakfast spread at Saltwood Bingin

For food, mornings begin with breakfasts like acai bowls, baked goods, anchovy toast and, of course, caffeine. For lunch, you can choose between the likes of the roasted zucchini salad, pickled octopus or a 180-gram dry-aged beef burger, to name a few. Evenings bring out fire cooking, barbecue and shared plates: think rib eye, king prawns with burnt lemon and green garlic butter, and charcoal fish with kombu butter and lemon oil from the grill.

Saltwood Bingin is now open at Jalan Petra Bingin No. 1, Pecatu, Bali. Head to the website for more information.
