Overview

ILY — of course, an acronym for I Love You — is a modern eatery in the NewAction precinct that dishes up gloriously next-level comfort foods. The XO team transformed what used to be Morning Glory by creating a menu that features staple hearty classics, like burgers, roast chicken and stacked sandwiches, and adding a modern twist.

Among the all-day a la carte lineup, you'll find the likes of sashimi with finger lime and mustard greens, beef cheeks done with spent coffee and a malt glaze, and king prawns with salsa rossa. Larger options might include the john dory finished with burnt scallions and pearl onions, and a vegetarian-friendly assembly of pumpkin, chevre and hazelnuts.

A separate afternoon snack menu stars the likes of a Vegemite cheese pretzel and charcuterie from LP's Quality Meats. And on Sundays, you'll find a long lunch situation offering tight selection of the above smash-hits. Simple? Yes. But very, very satisfying.
