Overview

When Red Baron reopened after a two-week Christmas period in 2019, few could have anticipated the challenges the then-fledgling cafe would face in the successive months. Not only did bushfires engulf the area surrounding the city, but severe storms and the onset of the coronavirus pandemic would also push the new team and its local suppliers to their limits.

A quick pivot to a free home-delivery produce box service in Red Baron Pantry helped invigorate not only the business but also the community around it. Today, Red Baron continues to service that same community with reliable (and photogenic) classic cafe fodder during the day, available for both dine-in and to takeaway.

If you head in for breakfast, you'll find the likes of eggs benedict, three styles of french toast, and a classic bacon and egg roll. Meanwhile, the lunch menu features plates like the loaded falafel bowl, a proper Philly cheesesteak and a chicken parma, and takes good care of meat-lovers and vegetarians in equal measure.
