Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki has unveiled a year of unmissable exhibitions, including five major international installations and the very best of New Zealand art. The program features some of the world's greatest artists for visitors to enjoy and will be the first year the Gallery has shown five major international exhibitions in just 12 months.

One of the key exhibitions is Monet: World of Impressionism, allowing visitors to experience masterpieces from the birth of French Impressionism. From August–November 2020, visitors will see paintings by Monet himself alongside Berthe Morisot, Edgar Degas, Pierre Auguste Renoir, Alfred Sisley and Édouard Manet. Take a journey through one of the world's most beloved and inspiring artistic movements.

Another one not to be missed is Picasso: The Figure during October 2020–January 2021. This exhibition focuses on Picasso's fascination with depictions of the human body, examining key moments in his life and art. Be amazed by Picasso's creativity and ability to respond to the society and world around him. These exhibitions will be held throughout the year, alongside other leading art.

Enchanted Worlds: Hokusai, Hiroshige and the Art of Edo Japan (February–May 2020) will display extraordinary painted silk scrolls and folding screens illustrating the real and imaginary worlds of Edo Japan (1603–1868). Drawn from private collections in Japan, these artworks depict characters, places and fashions to give an astonishing view of the period's culture and splendour.

From April–July 2020, Civilisation, Photography, Now features the work of 100 of the world's finest photographers. It illustrates our increasingly global, connected society, and encourages viewers to consider where we live, how we consume, what we make, and how we travel, learn, explore and control.

Timed to coincide with the 36th America's Cup (November 2020–April 2021), Goshka Macuga and the Fondazione Prada Collection will see Auckland Art Gallery present a world-renowned collection of 20th and 21st-century art.
