Are you an open-minded, opinionated critic of new restaurants, films or plays? Do you love the great outdoors and pointing people to the best bits of it? Concrete Playground is currently seeking skilled, experienced online contributors, journalists, photographers and cultural connoisseurs to join its Wellington team. If you answered in the affirmative to a sizeable chunk of the above, you may just be the person we're looking for.
What we're looking for:
Experienced contributors who are keen to create intelligent, engaging content for Concrete Playground. Journalists who want to write news, features, reviews, profiles, and/or event previews, and photographers who are looking to showcase their city with galleries, videos, portraits and news images.
The ideal candidate MUST:
- Write original, creative and honest copy in a timely manner
- Do their research (press releases and Wikipedia don't count, sorry)
- Love living in Wellington
- Deliver accurate copy to deadlines
- Be brimming with ideas for local news features related to culture, music, food, design and sustainability
Extra points for:
- Photography/video skills
- An enthusiasm for puns
