Melbourne Events Raising Money for Bushfire-Affected Communities and Volunteers
Wondering how you can help? This is a good place to start.
Australia is currently experiencing one of the worst bushfire seasons on record. More than six-million hectares, thousands of homes and an estimated half a billion animals have been destroyed by bushfires so far. And we're not even halfway through summer.
To help the communities and animals affected, and the CFA volunteers donating their time, local businesses across Melbourne are hosting fundraising events. There are pizzas to eat, live gigs to watch and boilermakers to drink — all for a good cause.
Of course, you can also donate directly to charities and organisations, including local CFA brigades, the Victorian Bushfire Appeal, Wildlife Victoria and the Fire Relief Fund for First Nations Communities.
