Blarney Castle

Overview

Blarney Castle is one of Ireland's oldest and most storied fortresses, renowned for its soaring walls and towers. Immersed in scenic gardens, including a peaceful boardwalk, the estate's most famous feature is the Blarney Stone.

Set into the castle's parapet, visitors have for centuries given the stone block a ritualistic smooch to, at least according to legend, receive the talent of eloquence, or as the locals say it: 'gift of the gab'.
