Overview
Seán Mac Diarmada was a legendary figure in modern Irish history. As one of the revolutionary leaders behind the Easter Rising of 1916, he helped usher in the end of colonial rule in Ireland.
You can wander in his footsteps at his namesake cottage located just a few kilometres outside the village of Kiltyclogher in Corranmore. You should also check out the exhibition of Seán MacDiarmada and the history of the locality at the Kiltyclogher Heritage Centre.
