Overview

Originating from the third century BC, St. Paul's Catacombs in Rabat served as Roman burial grounds that remained in use until the seventh century.

This captivating network of tunnels comprises approximately 30 hypogea, or tombs, containing thousands of bodies and remains, rendering it the largest burial site in Malta.
