Working a little like a rap battle and a little like Fight Club, Secret Wars is the world's premier live art battle, promoted by word of mouth and hosted in the darkest corners of cities around the globe. The first taste of Secret Wars in Sydney kicked off in February of this year, and it was a resounding success. Working as a character-based, black and white artistic battle, set in front of a crowd of over 350 people, this is one of the only platforms for courageous, creative types to compete head-to-head with other artists and interact directly with their audience.

The rules of the game are as follows:

- 90 minutes on the battle clock
- The only materials allowed are black acrylic paint and marker pens on white walls
- No pencils or sketches should be on stage or used
- Each artist has to stay within their allocated space, separated by an invisible middle line
- Battles are judged by two nominated and neutral guest judges as well as a crowd vote

Plans are currently underway for the 2011 series of Secret Wars to showcase amazing artistic talent, and the Secret Wars people are on the look-out for artists to participate in the next round. So if you think you have what it takes to make art live in front of an audience, you can visit the website, or email Secret Wars headquarters directly.
