Overview

With its diverse range of over 1000 wines and lineup of craft beers, ciders, spirits and mixers, Coventry Street's boutique bottle shop has become a firm favourite for customers in the market for a great take-home drop. Magnum + Queens started out life as an online wine boutique, curated by sommelier extraordinaire Virginia Selleck, before expanding into the offline world in 2018 with a permanent set-up in South Melbourne. The next step to world domination was cracking open a bottle or two in an on-site wine bar.

Pull up a seat and unwind over a few glasses, selected from a weekly-changing drink-in offering covering a selection of local and international wineries and breweries. You can also select any bottle from the shelves, slip the bar a $10 corkage fee (which is waived for bottles over $60) and enjoy it in store. The drinks are complemented by classic drinking snacks: peanuts roasted in maple and duck fat; fennel salami and pickles; Jose Gourmet smoked small sardines with crostini; and Farce free range chicken liver parfait, mulled wine jelly, cornichons and crisp bread, to name a few.
