Overview

Northside food truck precinct Welcome to Thornbury has scored itself a new drinks haven from the minds behind spirits brands Grainshaker vodka and Ned whisky. Sporting a moody industrial fitout courtesy of Black Milk, The Distiller is a stylish spot for sipping and socialising, showcasing a local-leaning drinks list and a program of weekly fun that'll keep you coming back.

The cocktail bar boasts views into the working microdistillery, where the copper pot is turning out a range of small-batch vodka creations and distiller Ruby Lewis is busy developing Grainshaker's upcoming pours.

The drinks offering heroes classics amped up with a few signature twists — think, a revamped Vodka Raspberry done with a house-made raspberry and thyme shrub, a macadamia-infused negroni and a reimagined mule. You'll also find spirit-tasting flights, along with a solid range of beers and wines. Masterclasses and guided tastings are on offer for drinkers who want to get better acquainted with some top Aussie spirits, too.

Meanwhile, guests can order food via the Welcome to Thornbury lineup, delivered straight to their table. And entertainment comes courtesy of a regular live music roster, Saturday night DJs, and weekly happenings like pub trivia and an open mic night.
