A 1930s aviation fantasy, poured into a heritage banking chamber in the middle of Melbourne's CBD.
Overview
The Douglas Club takes its name and its theme from the golden age of air travel, channelling 1930s glamour through cocktails named for the era's aircraft and airfields — Hangar Queen, Skytrain, Touchdown, Airborne — with a distinctly contemporary edge.
It's housed inside the heritage Equity Chambers building, built in 1930 and now home to the Hilton Melbourne Little Queen Street, in the same grand hall as sister restaurant Luci. There's no mistaking that the venues were designed to match the building's aesthetic.

The drinks list runs long: bespoke cocktails alongside a cellar of vintage champagnes, boutique spirits, wines and craft beers from Australia and further afield. Bar snacks lean toward the shareable and a little indulgent — think oysters, truffle fries, duck-fat gnocco fritto with truffle salt and parmesan, and steak tartare with confit egg yolk and horseradish.
