'Harry Potter' Wand Combat Choreography Masterclass — POSTPONED

Get your time-turners,  Melburnians, because you're going to need to be super quick to snag a spot at this one. Consider this your Hogwarts letter, inviting you to an exclusive wand combat masterclass at Melbourne's huge Harry Potter store inside the basement of Myer on Bourke Street.

The world's only wand combat choreographer — as well as coming up with the physical language for the franchise's many waved wands, he worked on all the fight sequences in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix — Paul Harris will be sharing what he knows with a lucky few aspiring witches and wizards.

The 45-minute classes won't cost you a single galleon, but there aren't many spaces available in the eight classes across the weekend from Friday, March 20–Sunday, March 22 — at 12pm, 3pm and 6pm on Friday; 11am, 2pm and 4.30pm on Saturday; and 11am and 2pm on Sunday. Registering online ASAP is recommended.

Either bring your own wand with you, or buy one from the store when you arrive — you'll be in the perfect spot for it.

While these sessions are certain to be popular, if you know in your heart of hearts that you're not a muggle, you can still sign up for a boozy potions class, alohomora your way out of a Harry Potter-themed escape room, spend a night at Hogwarts and see the magic of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child come alive on the big stage.
