Overview

Prepare to cancel all your Wednesday night plans (i.e., laundry and Netflix) because we've got something much, much better. The Queen Victoria Market is bringing back its summer night market for a 20th season of balmy tomfoolery. This means that after a day of toiling in the diamond mines or hosiery department (whatever your poison) you can cool off with a free evening of international street food, vintage fashion and handcrafted homewares.

The 2017–18 season will kick off on November 15 and run for a mammoth 21 weeks, seeing Melbourne right through summer and into autumn. As with last year, each night will be themed so that every week will be a little different. Expect some top snacks — last year included 400 Gradi pizza pockets, gooey cheese breads from Toasta and Moroccan food from MJR TOM — and some sort of frozen booze. The full menu will be announced soon.

The Night Market will run every Wednesday night from November 15 to April 11 (excluding December 27) from 5-10pm.
