Prefer a hi-fi sort of Sunday session to basic beers at the pub? Well, you're in luck because Poodle Bar & Bistro is here to elevate your weekend with a fresh instalment of its ever-popular Patio Party, held especially for Melbourne Food & Wine Festival. The Fitzroy spot will be serving up the goods once again on Sunday, April 2, complete with some very special guests in tow.

Kicking off from 12pm, it's set to be a two-level affair with refreshments to suit all kinds of weekend cravings. Upstairs, you'll catch renowned chefs Matt Stone (Oakridge, Greenhouse) and Tim Goegan (Gimlet, Supernormal) joining forces for a lavish long lunch feast, pairing shared plates with a curation of sips by Mosaique Wines' Tom Gisbert ($223). Think, crocodile toast, tomato tartare en croute and lots more.

Meanwhile, out on the downstairs patio, Poodle's own Emma Dawson will be keeping things a little more casual, firing up the charcoal barbecue to cook up some familiar favourites from the menu. The Mosaique Wines crew will also be down here pouring good stuff for partygoers to sip while soaking up the afternoon's tunes. Plus, the bar is set to be slinging a solid range of cocktails, along with beers, non-alc sips and other fun bevs.

As always, you'll catch a lineup of guest DJs spinning till late, with multiple decks throughout the venue. Tickets to the downstairs festivities are an easy $21, which also gets you a drink on arrival.
