Overview
When you're looking for an easygoing after-dark activity, gathering your brain trust for trivia at your go-to local never goes amiss. Now, you can show off your knowledge for a good cause, as the Cat Protection Society of Victoria (CPSV) hosts its Purr-suit of Knowledge Trivia Party in The Greenhouse at Welcome to Thornbury.
Happening on Friday, August 7 — just ahead of International Cat Day — every ticket sold helps fund the Society's brand-new Nurture and Enrichment Hub. This dedicated space for vulnerable cats will ensure those who need a little extra time, behavioural support and enrichment before they find their forever home receive the support they need.
"The Hub will officially open on International Cat Day on August 8 and represents an important milestone in CPSV's ongoing commitment to improving welfare outcomes for cats requiring specialised care," says CPSV Marketing and Communications Manager Rachel Bitzilis. "Not every cat arrives ready for adoption on day one — some need time, patience and the right environment to feel safe and secure again."
Each ticket also comes with canapés and a welcome beer, wine or bubbles on arrival, plus guests automatically go into the running to win a host of door prizes. Alongside a silent auction and the chance to show your fellow trivia-goers your camera roll's seemingly endless cat pics, the questions on the night will be general knowledge — with a few feline curveballs thrown in.
