If anything's guaranteed to spice up your life this autumn, it's an evening of tongue-tingling, mouth-numbing Sichuan eats from some of the city's finest. And that's exactly what awaits you when MFWF's Sichuan Snack Fair fires up Queen Victoria Market on Sunday, March 22.

China's famously fierce regional cuisine takes centre stage at this free food party, helmed by globally renowned master of Sichuan cooking, Fuchsia Dunlop. The British cook and food writer will join a host of local restaurants dishing up their own spin on Sichuan heat, including Supernormal, Sun Kitchen, Dainty Sichuan, Super Ling, Spice Temple, Lee Ho Fook and fried chook experts Belles Hot Chicken.

Cruise the food stalls to catch demos, talks and tastings, and to test your tastebuds' boundaries, while taming the fire with some ice-cold brews from the bar. Both food and drinks will be available to purchase throughout the day, from 11am until 5pm. Don't forget to bring your card — this event's cashless.

The Queen Vic Market

Sichuan Snack Fair runs from 11am–5pm.
