Overview

UPDATE: OCTOBER 12, 2021 — Unfortunately, the shifting implications of COVID-19 mean the Great Vic Bike Ride will not go ahead in 2021. However, to support the local communities who were set to host the event, you can join Little Vic — a special 4-day only edition — in March 2022 and soak up all the glory of the Grampians by bike.

Did you rediscover your love of bike riding during the lockdowns?  If yes, and you're ready to venture beyond the streets of your local area, consider getting into top gear in the Great Vic Bike Ride taking place from Saturday, November 27–Sunday, December 5.

The Great Vic Bike Ride is considered Australia's biggest riding holiday. Which makes sense, considering the longest ride option goes for nine days. But, you don't have to go the whole hog to get involved. There are three multi-day ride options to choose from including a three day and a five day option — each of which weave through the Silo Art Trail and the Grampians in western Victoria. The rolling bike festival sees riders pedalling their way to a new town each day, setting up camp each afternoon and enjoying an evening of live entertainment, yoga, an outdoor cinema and more before pushing off to a new town the next day.

There'll be on-route assistance in the form of medical and mechanical support, nutrition and hydration stations. Plus, meals and luggage transfer is included in the entry fee.

The Great Vic Bike Ride will take place from Saturday, November 27–Sunday, December 5. If you're feeling adventurous and want to sign up to the ride, head to the website.
