Overview

This quirky, bright blue store has been on Brunswick Street for over 20 years now. Founded in 1993 by furniture makers Jeremy Wilkins and Stephen Kent, Wilkins and Kent was conceived as a workshop for custom-made bookcases, cupboards and chests. Now it's a fully-fledged boutique of not only furniture, but homewares of all kinds. While you can still find yourself a specialty-made desk or tallboy, you can also pick up terrariums, alarm clocks, kitchen goods, and bedspreads — anything that makes your home just that little bit brighter.

You can also find Wilkins and Kent in the city at 372 Lt Bourke Street, Melbourne.
