Stay safe and dry out there — it's going to be a wet one.
Melburnians, if you're currently reading this from somewhere dry, warm and cosy, we suggest that you keep it that way for the rest of the day. After two days of wet weather that's caused flash flooding across the city, the rain is set to stick around.
And not just any old wet weather, either. The Bureau of Meteorology is reporting that intense storms are on their way to Melbourne, and "heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding is likely". A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued not only for Melbourne, but for most of Victoria.
Like the huge downpour earlier in the week, wild weather is a result of tropical cyclone Owen moving across the country, creating a low-pressure system.
