Enter Noo's Padel — a brand-new six-court padel club stretching along Chapel Street. While the burnt-orange aesthetic might evoke the clay courts of Roland Garros, the glass and wire-mesh walls are set against the outdoor venue's own cafe and a turfed vantage point. And with a liquor license planned for summer, there'll soon be more to do than smash down aces.
Designed for feel-good exercise just as much as social hangs, Noo's Padel delivers on both fronts with a simple idea: make it easy to get involved, and just as hard to leave. For beginners, you're more than welcome, with courts bookable for sunrise games from 7am all the way through to 9.30pm night sessions.
Best of all, you don't even need a padel-loving friend to play with. Noo's Padel also hosts open matches where players at a similar skill level are paired up through a dedicated booking platform. Although you don't need a membership to play, if you choose to sign up, the inclusions feature a complimentary daily off-peak booking, discounts on additional daily sessions, priority booking windows and more.
If you're just getting to grips with the sport, Noo's is here to help, offering racket and ball rentals. However, if you're keen to step up your game, a retail section has top-notch equipment for purchase. Then, when you're ready to kick back, the terrace is perfect for an early morning coffee or an evening bite to eat as you regale your pals about your best shots.
Founded by Isabelle and Matt Noonan — the idea behind Noo's Padel is a result of their own time spent playing the sport with friends in Europe. Now, with the courts perfectly positioned amid Chapel Street's precinct, you can rally it up, hang out in the sun, then kick on to your favourite local venue — loser's on first drinks.
