No School, No Problem: The Keys Is Turning the Teacher Strike Into a Play Day with Free Arcade Games and Cheap Bowling
With most schools closed for the teachers' strike, this nostalgic leisure centre is giving parents a cheap way to keep their kids entertained.
You've probably heard the news: Victorian state school teachers are set to strike on Thursday, July 24, meaning schools are effectively closed for the day — with limited exceptions.
So, how might busy parents suddenly fill their kids' day, especially those who have a hard time sitting still? In Preston, The Keys and its nostalgia-fuelled leisure centre is here to help.
Just announced, this much-loved spot is offering free arcade games from 11am–3pm, with $13 bowling for kids from 11am–6pm.

Meanwhile, kids eat free from 3.30pm–5pm with every purchase of a main, so filling their daily schedule with plenty of fun activities, and maybe some homework, is made simple.
As for grown-ups that still need to get some work done, The Keys has free Wi-Fi, so you can get down to business in the bowling alley or perhaps in the beer garden while the kids play.
While the classroom might be out of action for the day, you can put the teachers' strike to good use by giving your kids the day off and a chance to bowl a few strikes of their own.
