Cheap & Cheerful Eats
Over 80 central city cafes, bars and restaurants are serving up generous deals for $15 or less this May.
Overview
Auckland business association Heart of the City is hoping to make the central city a mouthwatering destination this May by launching its Cheap & Cheerful Eats campaign. From 1–31 May, over 80 cafes, bars and restaurants will be serving up generous deals for $15 or less.
That might mean picking up a feast of pork buns and xiao long bao at Little Yum for $12.80, sitting down for a croque monsieur and regular coffee at Auckland Art Gallery for $15, or enjoying all the Mediterranean tapas you can handle for $15 as part of Esther's aperitivo hour.
Elsewhere, The Birdcage Tavern is dishing up $1 wings with any drinks purchase, Le Chef is serving one dozen escargots for $15, and two large hot chocolates at Bohemein will set you back a tenner. The deals aren't entirely restricted to sit-down feasting. At Viaduct Harbour mini-golf bar Holey Moley you can tap, tap, tap your way through the themed rooms and then enjoy a house pizza for the $15 price tag.
