Overview
Founded in Zurich, Switzerland by a blind clergyman, the global blind dining phenomenon can now experienced in restaurants from London to New York and San Francisco to Moscow. Dinner by Dark arrives in Auckland this Restaurant Month, combining bold and adventurous tastes, smells and textures with the complete absence of sight.
While they could easily serve up unsightly plate slop, the chefs at European bistro Vivace have gone above and beyond to create a sense-heavy menu for the event and guests will be treated to three-courses. Representatives from Blind Sport New Zealand have also learnt the art of table service specifically for the event, making the entire evening enjoyed, hosted and served in total darkness.
