Hopstock

Like a pub crawl, but not a pub crawl.

Overview

Wellington is the self-pronounced craft beer capital of the world. With such a prestigious title under the belt, it is only fitting for an annual craft beer-related event to be held in celebration. Cue: Hopstock - a Wellington-wide event where participants can savour great hoppy craft beers and/or participate in an unofficial mass pub crawl ("beer trail").

Held every year to celebrate Nelson's fresh hop harvest, Hopstock will host nineteen different craft beers from across New Zealand at various respected local watering holes like Hop Garden and Little Beer Quarter.

For those seeking glory on such a docile mid-week day, the Beer Trail is a special little hike you can take your soon-to-be-drunk-and-staggering body on. Collect a stamp (gained via buying a beerzie/food item) from each of the sixteen participating bars and breweries to complete the trail. Crawling (what we estimate to be) 15.5km is a feat you'll be bragging about to all your grandchildren, surely.

For those less enthusiastic or athletic, you may still like to visit one of the participating breweries and bars - most will be hosting a venue-specific event as well.

N.B. Drink responsibly y'all.
