Landing in Auckland by the way of New York, Paris, London, Buenos Aires, Hong Kong and Montréal, La Soiree is a show best described as "impossible to define and impossible to resist".
The award-winning variety show intends to amaze, amuse, arouse and shock audience members within an inch of their lives. Appropriately, it comes with an age restriction and warnings about haze and nudity.
A spiegeltent has been especially erected in Aotea Square for the mash-up of cabaret, burlesque, circus and vaudeville. Expect the unexpected at the off-beat and high energy show— just be prepared of flying bananas, flapping appendages, and if you have a chronic fear of audience interaction, avoid the front row.
