Overview

The charming, lanky creature with honey-dipped tonsils that is Marlon Williams is coming back to Auckland once again to perform his Rolling Stone-applauded, award-winning self-titled debut LP.

Heavily influenced by the likes of Elvis, the Beatles, Gram Parsons and the harmonies found in Maori songs, Williams' debut album manages to serve timeless nostalgia with a twist of, well, something else; something new. Besides crooning, Williams has started to take to the screen as well, starring in ABC's The Beautiful Lie. More acting roles are rumoured to follow.

With more and more cities appearing under his touring bill and more and more radio and TV appearances to be had, Lyttelton-born Marlon Williams’ star is growing more and more luminescent by the day. Expect to find his name parked in a Great New Zealand Songbook some time in the future.
