The delightful saviour of folk music.

Overview

In 2015, Billboard magazine proclaimed that New Zealand-bred Nadia Reid was "saving folk music". While it might be debatable whether folk actually needs saving or whether perhaps Nadia Reid is just a delightful addition to the folk canon, what's not up for argument is Reid's talent.

The Guardian UK said, "When I hear a young artist making an album as soulful and rich and self-possessed as 'Listen To Formation, Look For The Signs', I feel so thrilled not only for the existence of that record but for all the music they will make over all the years to come."

Nadia Reid will be bringing her critically acclaimed music to the relatively recently renovated, historic Hollywood Cinema on June 16. It will be her last time on New Zealand shores for a while as she migrates to the northern hemisphere afterwards to tour her new album Preservation.

Support from Anthonie Tonnon (music) and Courtney Sina Meredith (poetry).
