The soulful Sam Smith began his journey in spotlight as the voice of Disclosure’s track ‘Latch’, and Naughty Boy’s ‘La La La’. It wasn’t until late last year that he set out to release his own body of work. The Nirvana EP was his first offering and went on to gain him the title of the ‘Sound Of 2014’ from the BBC as well as take out the Critics' Choice Award at the BRITs.
In May, 2014 his debut album In The Lonely Hour hit store shelves and subsequently reached platinum status in the UK and reach #1 on the NZ album chart. The single that truly secured his footing in the pop game is the fragile, one night stand ballad ‘Stay With Me’ - which reached the top ten in over twelve countries.
