Sun & Sound isn’t your average day on the beach. As well as the inevitable appearance of saltwater mouth, sunscreen hands and sandy everything, the event promises entertainment in the form of beach games and carefully selected tunes from the city’s go to summer DJs.
Taking over Takapuna Beach from midday till late, the seaside festival will include everything from volley ball, outdoor beach soccer, beach cricket, jumps and slides.
Once day becomes night, beats will continue courtesy of: Dean Campbell, Beat Mafia, Bulletproof, Mike Ross, Lucas, Clarke Gayford, Tommy Flowers, Alex Q, Sam E, Adam Fuhr and Ben Walker. There will also be glorious views of Rangitoto, a bar and food on offer.
