Overview

What We Did On Our Holiday is based on the BBC show Outnumbered, a semi-improvised sitcom where the adult actors learn the scripts and the children are given last-minute instructions by the writers instead.

Starring David Tennant, Rosamund Pike, and Billy Connolly, the film is a heart-warming, uplifting comedy for all the family with a sort of happy ending.

Doug and Abi are taking their three children on a trip to Scotland for a big family gathering. In the midst of a difficult divorce, they have asked the kids to keep it a secret from their extended family.

As the truth unfolds, a completely unexpected turn of events involving the children causes further tensions to rise to the surface. And with the repercussions that ensue the family are forced to put aside their differences and work together or else risk losing what they hold most dear.
