Cassia Has Launched a Range of Sauces and Spice Blends for Home Cooks
The new range features three of the award-winning restaurant's signature sauces.
It's been a busy year for Sid Sahrawat and his family. In the thick of New Zealand's COVID-19 lockdown the esteemed restauranteur took his talents online for a series of kid-friendly cooking tutorials and reworked the five-star menus at Sid at The French Cafe, Sidart and Cassia for takeaway and delivery.
Sahrawat says the lockdown paved the way for Cassia's new business venture which has just hit the shelves. This week he launches a range of sauces and spice blends so you can recreate the flavours of his award-winning modern Indian restaurant at home.
The new Cassia at Home range bottles three of the restaurant's signature sauces, including 'Korma' (a thick mild sauce made with almonds and cardamom), 'Makhani' (a medium spiced butter chicken-style sauce made with cashews for a velvety finish), and 'Karahi' (a spicy, tomato-based sauce).
The Cassia at Home range also includes two spice kits, from whole, ground and blended spices, and a candle with notes of orange, mandarin, ginger, cinnamon leaf and vanilla.
The Cassia at Home range is available directly from the restaurant, the Cassia website and Farro Fresh stores. For more information, visit cassiarestaurant.co.nz.
