Brewtus: a big name for a big beer. Good things happen when our craft beer and coffee worlds collide, and the latest offering from Black Dog Brewing and Havana Coffeeworks is well worth your time.

Dry-hopped using crushed Bolivian coffee beans roasted by Havana, with a dose of Cascade hops for "some extra growl" (the canine puns are strong in this one), Black Dog Brewing have produced a delicious coffee milk stout. It'll be your go-to winter drop. The beer is a direct reflection of the respective processes of brewing and roasting, the result being a crafted, subtly flavoured stout. It's a bit like cold drip — if cold drip had the ability to get you tiddly. The bitterness of a good long black is there, but it lacks any hard acidity, instead rounding out with a light, creamy finish.

In terms of matching Brewtus to your winter cooking, give it a go with a big stew or a slab of chocolate cake. You can find Brewtus in liquor stores nationwide.
